Preface
As transiting Mercury moves sequentially through all the signs of the zodiac, it makes us more or less resourceful and quick-witted. Therefore, it is important to know its current position and whether its motion is retrograde to avoid mistakes and better understand the intentions of others.
About Mercury Transits
Mercury belongs to the group of the fastest-moving planets in transit (Mercury, Venus, and Mars). Among these, Mercury is the fastest, spending less than a month in each sign. As Mercury travels through the zodiac, it gathers information and knowledge and engages in numerous beneficial dealings. In some cases, it returns to a particular place to complete unfinished business or repeat a lesson (during retrograde motion).
Mercury achieves its maximum potential in Virgo, its own sign and sign of exaltation. Mercury's other own sign is Gemini, where it is slightly less powerful than in Virgo.
Mercury is also successful in the signs of Libra, Leo, and Taurus (its friendly signs), although it is weaker here than in its own signs and exaltation.
The signs of Capricorn, Aquarius, Aries, Scorpio, and Sagittarius are neutral for Mercury, meaning it displays average strength in these signs.
In Cancer, Mercury loses much of its potential.
Pisces is Mercury's sign of debilitation, where it has the lowest potential.
